Strategic Marketing Director, Healthcare

Full-Time, Remote

Edcetera is seeking a Strategic Marketing Director to lead marketing for our Healthcare verticals. This role is responsible for driving growth across a portfolio of education brands serving licensed professionals in regulated industries.

This is a business-critical role with full ownership of marketing performance across the vertical. The Strategic Marketing Director is accountable for revenue contribution, forecasting, budget management, and execution of strategies that drive measurable growth.

Brand Ownership

This role owns performance across the following verticals:

  • Dermatology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Optometry
  • Chiropractic
  • Radiology
  • Podiatry
  • Veterinary
  • Veterinary Technicians

Key Responsibilities

Business Ownership & Growth

  • Own revenue targets and marketing contribution to enrollments across all Healthcare brands
  • Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Build and manage marketing budgets by brand, channel, and campaign, ensuring efficient allocation of spend
  • Monitor and optimize key metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and revenue performance
  • Provide clear, consistent reporting to executive leadership, including performance insights and action plans
  • Partner with leadership on annual planning, budgeting, and growth strategy

Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and lead integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies to drive acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
  • Translate company goals into accountable marketing plans with clear targets and measurable outcomes
  • Oversee campaign planning and execution across email, paid media, web, social, and lifecycle marketing
  • Make strategic decisions on budget allocation, channel prioritization, and go-to-market execution

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional marketing team, driving accountability and performance
  • Partner with product, compliance, and operations to align marketing strategies with product readiness and business priorities
  • Ensure strong coordination across teams to support launches, promotions, and lifecycle initiatives

Regulatory & Content Oversight

  • Ensure all marketing communications meet state, industry, and accreditation requirements
  • Translate complex regulatory and licensing requirements into clear, effective messaging
  • Partner with compliance teams to validate course approvals, disclosures, and claims
  • Maintain audit-ready marketing practices and documentation
  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively adjust strategy and messaging

Performance & Optimization

  • Define and own KPIs tied directly to revenue, growth, and efficiency
  • Analyze performance across channels and brands, making real-time adjustments to hit targets
  • Drive continuous testing and optimization across campaigns, creative, and customer journeys
  • Ensure effective audience segmentation and personalization strategies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with leadership experience
  • Experience in education, licensing, or compliance-driven industries strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Deep understanding of multi-channel marketing
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory information into marketing strategy
  • Analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

  • Starting at $115,000, commensurate on experience
