About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
• Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
• Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
• Manage onsite inventory and supplies
• Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
• Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

State Qualifications

a) The instructor shall be of good reputation and shall not be a current student in the same or similar course of instruction, as determined by the Agency, in which the instructor teaches.

(b) Instructors shall possess and affirm on forms provided by the Agency that the instructor has one of the following qualifications that applies to the course area to be taught.

(4) The instructor has a secondary education that includes a certificate of completion from a recognized postsecondary school for a program with course time of at least 900 hours in a relevant course area and four years of related practical experience within the ten years immediately preceding employment by the school; or

(5) The instructor has proof of satisfactory completion of secondary education and five years of related practical experience within the ten years immediately preceding employment by the school.

Required Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Reliable transportation
• A secure address to receive inventory shipments
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting
• Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• EKG knowledge and work experience
• Prior teaching or training experience

Schedule:

Weekend: Saturday's Only, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Phlebotomy: 5 years (Required)
• Supervising: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
