About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

Campus Location: 3131 N Country Club Rd, Tucson, AZ 85716
Available Schedules: (Classes take place 3 weeks per month)
AM Shift: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-1:00pm
PM Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00pm-10:00pm

What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
• Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
• Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
• Manage onsite inventory and supplies
• Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
• Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

State Qualifications

• CURRENT Certified Phlebotomy Technician in the state of Arizona with a minimum of 2 years full time phlebotomy experience in the previous 7 years (venipuncture, blood collection, lab processing, and special specimen procurement), must provide a copy of phlebotomy certificate upon request
• Have completed a program of postsecondary education (college, career technical education, university, etc) in phlebotomy from an accredited institution or an institution licensed to operate as a postsecondary educational institution, must provide a copy of diploma or transcript upon request
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in the medical field or with a school.
• Employment offers are contingent upon completion of a background check

Required Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
• Strong communication and instructional skills
• Reliable transportation
• A secure address to receive inventory shipments
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting
• Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• EKG knowledge and work experience
• Prior teaching or training experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
