About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
  • Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
  • Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
  • Manage onsite inventory and supplies
  • Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

State Qualifications

  • (a) Instructional staff for all institutions must be selected at a minimum on the basis of these rules.
  • (b) Instructors in a trade related or specific skill area must have documented proficiency and practical applied experience in that trade or skill.
  • (c) An instructor must be qualified by education and experience/background and must meet at a minimum the following qualifications:
  • 1(ii) Hold a high school diploma or GED and a certificate of completion from a postsecondary institution judged to be appropriate by the Commission in a relevant subject area AND
  • A minimum of three (3) years of practical experience within the last seven (7) years in the subject area to be taught. Additional years of documented experience in the subject area may be substituted for the postsecondary educational requirements.
  • Hold relevant credential for course of instruction

Required Qualifications

  • Current Phlebotomy Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
  • Strong communication and instructional skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • A secure address to receive inventory shipments
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting
  • Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • EKG knowledge and work experience
  • Prior teaching or training experience
