About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student-focused Phlebotomy Substitute Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.
The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high-quality lecture and hands-on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.
Campus Location: 4000 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609
Substitute Schedule:
AM: Monday's - Thursday's, 9:00AM - 1:00PM
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions
- Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
- Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Manage onsite inventory and supplies
- Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies
- Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
State Qualifications
1. Be a person of good moral character;
2. Be at least 21 years of age;
3. Be a graduate of a college or university accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and hold at least an associate degree in a related field or meet the requirements of other occupational licensing, certification, or approval bodies requested to approve instructor adequacy; and
4. Personnel who lack the educational requirement in Subsection (3) above, but who are otherwise qualified based on relevant work experience, may be approved on an individual basis by the State Board of Proprietary Schools.
5. 5 years of work experience; more if we will be using the experience in place of a college degree
Required Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Reliable transportation
- A secure address to receive inventory shipments
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting
- Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- EKG knowledge and work experience
- Prior teaching or training experience

- College Degree AND copy of transcripts - (High School Transcripts needed if experience is the qualification met)

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
